We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Protection & Control Engineer to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This is a full-time, direct-hire position offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000. If you have a strong background in electrical engineering and a passion for ensuring the reliability and safety of substation and transmission systems, this role is for you.

In this role, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer and play a key role in the design, analysis, and implementation of protection and control systems. Your responsibilities will include performing engineering analysis, relay coordination studies, and developing designs for projects of varying complexity. You will generate and review technical documents such as single-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay settings. Additionally, you will prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and execution plans, as well as draft scopes of work for engineering and construction contractors.

You will also be involved in selecting equipment vendors, preparing bid documents, and evaluating bids for materials and services. Your expertise will be critical in troubleshooting and supervising repair activities, as well as providing technical guidance during review meetings. This role may also involve training relay technicians on installation, testing, and maintenance procedures for new equipment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in relay applications, substation design, and transmission systems. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with contractors and engineering firms are essential. While this position does not typically involve direct supervision, you may take on temporary supervisory duties for specific projects or training functions.
